Hello, I'm Envy Crosby
My Story
I am an Enterprise Architect by day and an aspiring writer by night.
I began writing at ten after discovering my love of Hans Christian Anderson’s stories. I even published a poem in high school in a university writer’s competition. I am a geek and a lover of gaming, romantic comedies and fantasy.
I feel truly fortunate to be a first-generation Australian after my parents lost everything in the Vietnam War and migrated to Australia as refugees. My poor upbringing in Western Sydney meant that books were my way to escape into many different worlds. I am a voracious reader of romance and fantasy novels.
My mother taught me to, first and foremost, become independent and self-sufficient, to give back to the country that gave my family a second chance. So, I decided to carve out a successful career in IT.
Being creative has always been an aspiration of mine. Through this blog, I want to provide a woman’s perspective on working in IT, share my love of all things geeky and my passion for creative writing.
Professional Life
I share my love of technical and creative writing with the world through my blog on this website.
Becoming a mother later in life inspired me to reveal my creative voice. All while balancing my demanding IT career and motherhood.
I regularly write professional and technical artefacts in my day job, ensuring compliance with architectural standards and deliver exceptionally high-quality designs and business strategies for my clients, expressing my creative outlet in these documents.
I’ve been a creative problem-solver for over 20 years, and a solid commitment to fairness and integrity characterises my leadership style. I rely on evidence-based analysis to develop adaptable strategic and architectural models that align with business objectives and overarching strategies.
My specialties include Strategic Planning, Enterprise Architecture, Business Evolution, Stakeholder Engagement, and Information Communications Technology. As a forward-thinking professional, I drive impactful change in the ever-evolving landscape of strategic planning.
